How Tap&Reuse works

Place
A reusable cup is placed on the Tap&Reuse station. The embedded RFID tag is read instantly, identifying the cup and activating the payment terminal. This takes under a second.
Tap
The customer taps their payment card, phone, or watch on the terminal. A small pre-authorisation is placed on their card, linking it to that specific cup. No app download, no account creation, no deposit exchange.
Return
When the customer is done, they place the cup in any return point at the venue. The system reads the RFID tag, matches it to the card, and releases the pre-authorisation. The customer is notified automatically.
Repeat
Returned cups are collected, commercially washed, and restocked. The system tracks the full lifecycle: borrows, returns, wash cycles, and cup condition. Operations teams see everything in real time.
